How to Paint Countertops

Prep

No stripping, no sanding, and no priming is required when using Beyond Paint

Clean countertop thoroughly with a general degreaser
(ex: Zep Degreaser or Simple Green) to remove all grease, oil, and wax build up

Tools

Roller (3/8" Microfiber Recommended)

  • Smooth, self-leveling factory finish
  • Ideal for on-site repainting & occupied spaces

For hard to reach areas, stipple with a soft bristle brush

Paint

Apply the first coat of Beyond Paint

Wait a minimum of 2 hours for the first coat to dry

Apply the second coat of Beyond Paint to achieve full coverage

Beyond Paint Countertop Flecks

After applying the second coat of Beyond Paint, immediately shake flecks onto the wet surface

Wait a minimum of 2 hours for the second coat to dry 
Lightly sand the surface with 320 grit sandpaper

Wipe down with a damp cloth then let dry to prep for applying Beyond Paint’s Multi-Purpose Sealer

Finish & Care

Sealing & Curing

  • Apply the first coat of Beyond Paint’s Multi-Purpose Sealer with a 3/8th inch microfiber roller
  • It is very important that the Multi-Purpose Sealer is being applied in very thin coats Let the first coat dry for a minimum of two hours
  • Apply the second coat of Beyond Paint’s Multi-Purpose Sealer
  • A minimum of 2 coats is needed for a durable surface
  • The finish will reach its full cure within 2–4 weeks, providing maximum durability

Cleaning & Maintenance

  • Once fully cured, Beyond Paint® can be routinely cleaned with mild soap or a gentle household cleaner to help maintain its finish
