This step is important. Beyond Paint® tintable colors are designed around specific bases, so you'll want to purchase the correct base for your selected color.
Step 2: Get the Right Base
Once you've chosen your color, it's time to purchase the recommended Beyond Paint® tintable base.
You have a few options.
Purchase In Store
Visit a participating Lowe's location that carries Beyond Paint® tintable bases.
Currently, participating Lowe's stores offer the tintable bases.
Once you've purchased the correct base, you can take it directly to the paint counter to have it tinted.
Order Online for Pickup
You can also order the recommended base online and select store pickup where available.
Once you pick up your base, bring it to the participating paint counter to have it tinted to your selected color.

Prefer to shop from home?
You can order the recommended base online for delivery. Once you receive your base, bring it to a participating Lowe's paint counter to have it tinted.
Remember: Before purchasing, always confirm that you're getting the recommended base for your selected color.
Step 3: Have It Tinted
Once you have the correct Beyond Paint® tintable base, take it to a participating paint counter and have it tinted to your custom curated color.

The color is professionally tinted at the paint counter, giving you the color you've selected without needing to tint the product yourself at home.
What Happens After Your Paint Is Tinted?
Once your Beyond Paint® is tinted, it's ready to become part of your next project.
Before painting, make sure your surface is clean, dry, and free of grease, oil and wax.
Then apply Beyond Paint® according to the product directions.
Beyond Paint® is an all-in-one bonder, primer and sealer, which means traditional stripping, sanding and priming aren't required.
For the best results, Beyond Paint® recommends applying two coats using a 3/8-inch microfiber or woven roller. Allow a minimum of two hours between coats.
