Logistics Associate

Summit Marketing Group Inc. d/b/a Beyond Paint is seeking a Logistics Associate for its Clearwater, Florida office. The Logistics Associate will be responsible for coordinating the timely and cost-effective movement of goods in accordance with established company procedures. This role will support daily logistics operations, shipment coordination, order entry, inventory movement, and communication with carriers, freight partners, internal departments, and customers.

Responsibilities include

  • Coordinate freight shipments across multiple transportation modes, including working with freight forwarders, carriers, and third-party logistics providers.
  • Obtain and compare carrier rate quotes and assist in selecting appropriate transportation options based on company guidelines and predefined criteria.
  • Book freight shipments and monitor delivery schedules to help ensure timely fulfillment.
  • Accurately input orders and shipment information into the Beyond Paint computer system.
  • Track shipments and follow up on delays, discrepancies, or delivery issues in coordination with carriers and internal team members.
  • Provide shipment status updates to internal departments and customers as needed.
  • Assist with customer service inquiries related to shipping, delivery, and order fulfillment.
  • Support sales, marketing, and inventory-related operations, including the acquisition, distribution, delivery, and final disposition of company inventory, as directed by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • At least 12 months of experience in logistics, transportation coordination, shipping, supply chain, or a related role.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with carriers, vendors, internal teams, and customers.
  • Experience using computer systems for order entry, shipment tracking, or logistics coordination.
